Sizing and fit

How do I pick a size?

Measure the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs, and match it to the size chart. If your dog sits between two sizes, choose the larger one and use the adjustable straps to snug it down.

Will it fit a flat-faced or front-heavy breed?

Yes. Front-heavy dogs are exactly who the chin float was designed for. The float lifts the muzzle and the belly panel keeps the body level so they are not nose-down in the water.

Can I take the chin float off?

Yes. The chin float is removable, so confident swimmers can wear the vest without it and tired or nervous dogs can have it clipped on.

Can my dog wear it all day?

It is light enough for poolside and boat days, but always take it off for rest breaks and check the straps have not rubbed.

Using the vest

Does the chin float get in the way of swimming?

No. The float sits under the jaw and only does its job when the head starts to drop. Confident swimmers barely notice it.

Is it a substitute for supervision?

No. A flotation aid helps a tired dog rest and float; it does not replace keeping your dog within reach around water.

How do I wash it?

Rinse in fresh water after every swim, especially after salt water or chlorine, and hang it in the shade to dry. Do not tumble dry.
